The Farewell Show at Tips

YOU NEVER BROUGHT ME FLOWERS (LIVE!)

THE HUNGER (LIVE!)

Thanks to my brother Brian for shooting this on the little digital camera while we were all rocking out.
Also thanks to Burtzos, Jimmy Williams and D-Ray, for the Euphonium, Tuba and Trombone. Very beefy, indeed.

Til we meet again...

Hey Everyone. Kevin here.
From the bottom of our hearts, I'd like to thank all the fans on behalf of the band. All your love and support has been the fuel that has allowed us to do everything we've done over the course of these past four years. Right from the first Neutral Ground Coffee Shop gig way back when we were all wee lil' Loyola freshmen, you guys have been there for us cheering us along.

As you may be aware, Fay Wray is splitting up now and going our separate ways for while. Some of us are staying in New Orleans while others (myself included) are heading up to Chicago. Fay Wray is a family though, so I'm sure we'll all be in touch with each other.

I'd go so far as to suggest that a reunion would not be out of the question.

In the mean time, we'd love for you to check out what we're cookin' elsewhere. Here are some of the other projects us Fay Wray boys are affiliated with:

Steve Stokes and myself are starting a new band with Chicago, with Pat on drums while he's in town, called "Peacekeeper". We're finishing up a record now, but we've got some rough bounces on our MySpace: www.MySpace.com/PeacekeeperBand
Mike Girardot and Stephen MacDonald are, as you know also member of the great Antenna Inn as the great Big Rock Candy Mountain. Antenna Inn just released their new CD "Do/Work" and continue to be heavy-hitters in the New Orleans rock scene, and BRCM are just getting started with their regional wave of ass-kicking.
Their MySpaces are here: http://www.myspace.com/antennainn and http://www.myspace.com/brcmmusic

Also, I'd like to note that those of you that didn't get your own copy of "TUG LOVE" aren't out of luck, because we're going to continue selling the CDs online at CD Baby and on iTunes once that clears. CHECK IT OUT.

We couldn't have asked for a better finale than the Tipitina's show and we couldn't have asked for a better fanbase then y'all.

More live audio and video will be posted when it comes in, but for now, enjoy these pictures and know that we'll miss you all very much.
Yours truly,
Kevin Corcoran

"TUG LOVE" kicks ass!

'"Tug Love" is a Loyola classic in the making...Fay Wray has finally found a place for their dark humor and pop orchestras with an album worn-in way beyond their years.'
-Alex Woodward of the Loyola Maroon
Yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about! Here's the link to the rest of the article.
And as if that weren't enough, WE GOT THE ALBUMS IN YESTERDAY! TWO BIG BOXES OF 'EM!
Take a look:

Mmmmm... that looks tasty.
And seriously, thanks to the Maroon for the great review!

MORE MUSIC VIDEOS for tug love

Also, check out Fay Wray tomorrow (Sunday) at 1pm on Michael Franco's radio show at CrescentCityRadio.com! We're gonna spin some tracks from the album and generally talk about a lot of interesting things.
See ya!

"The Making of TUG LOVE": the movie (part 1)

This is the first part in a series of mini-documentaries we shot about the making of the album. Here we're at Pat's house in Oak Park, IL, right outside of Chicago, where his parent's were kind enough to let us set up shop in their basement to rock out. This was back in the summer of 07, when were just getting things with the album rollin'.
Tug Love is out on April 19th! Come out and get yours!
Hope you enjoy the movie.

TUG LOVE TO BE RELEASED APRIL 19TH!!!

Hey Guys and Gals,
Its been a while since I updated the ol' website, but its been a pretty crazy couple of months, culminating in some great news.
Fay Wray is finally ready to drop the record you've all been waiting for:
Tug Love.

BAM!
14 tracks of delicious Fay Wray goodness, containing all of your favorites, blasted forth in glorious stereo sound.
We've been working on this album a good long time, pulling late nights to insure it meets the highest standards of quality.
And now it is here, ready for public consumption, just begging to be listened to.
So April 19th is is. We've got a copy for everyone. Come on down to the Hi-Ho Lounge and get yours.

For a little preview of the magic, check out our myspace page www.myspace.com/faywrayband. I've uploaded "Around the World" already, I'm gonna be posted a few tracks over the next few weeks, so as to tease you into a frenzy.
Also keep an eye out for some forthcoming music videos for the new tracks on YouTube. We've got some footage of us making the record to craft into a miniature documentary. Should be preeeeety fun.

ALSO, I'd like to thank all of you ladies and gentlemen for coming out to the final Fay Wray house party at Steve and Jack's place last Saturday. That was a night I shall not soon forget. ...Well, at least the parts of it I remember I'll remember forever. It was for sure on of my favorite shows we've ever done. Charlie being back in town was a blast. Behold, the greatest Fay Wray line up evar:
Classic.

(...I'm not quite sure why I'm making that face, though. I'm sure it seemed like the right thing to do at the time.)

I hope you guys all had a good time. Here are some pictures the Braden Piper took of the madness:

Cool. So anyway, APRIL 19TH. TUG LOVE DROPS. BE THERE!

Hey there Party People!
It seems like that time of year again... That's right, its time to rock! Saturday night at Carrollton Station, Fay Wray is turning up all the switches to maximum power to set sail on a sea of musical energy that will blow your faces away!
The City Life have got a single they're releasin' called "White Elephant" (like the animal) and it kicks ass. Come join us for this special moment. Doors open at 9pm.
hugs and kisses,
FW

P.S.-We're trying to get a house party going a few days after Mardi Gras, but we need a couple people to help us set up and break down. We need a helping hand from you tech whizzes out there to make this possible. Free beer for people that can help us. Shoot us a message.
